Friday 4th May - Monday 7th May - World Pilot Gig Championships: This spectacular annual event sees over 120 gigs and crews competing in a series of 5 races over the weekend. Be warned, the otherwise quiet, tranquil islands are transformed into a hectic hubbub of people and lycra.
